Issue of Certification and Titles

Upon successfully competing and passing both the practical skills and written exams in the Non-Sporting, Sporting and/or Terrier groups with a "C-" grade or higher from each of the Certifiers, each applicant shall be issued an attractive certificate stating that in the interest of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism they have undergone extensive voluntary testing before duly authorized IPG, Inc. Certifiers and have demonstrated their proficiency in grooming skills required for that group.

Upon successfully completing and passing all the "Practical Skills" and "Written Examinations" for Non-Sporting Breeds, Sporting Breeds, Terrier Breeds, and "Master Written Examination" with a "C-" or higher grade, each registrant shall be issued a certificate verifying that in the interest of maintaining an international standard of grooming excellence and professionalism, they have undergone extensive voluntary testing before duly authorized IPG Certifiers and have demonstrated proficiency in "All Breed Professional Pet Grooming" and have been awarded by the IPG, Inc., the title of:

"CERTIFIED MASTER GROOMER"

Any applicant who fails a certification test will be given the opportunity to discuss the reasons for failure with their Certifiers.

Registrants who fail any or all of their examinations may apply to re-test at the next test site of their choice. Written application must be made, accompanied by 1/2 of the normal certification fee. The same applies to any registrant who would like to, for any reason, retake any practical skills and/or written examinations.
