IPG’s new
Grooming Student Program
The International Professional Groomers, Inc. is introducing a special program to grooming schools and their students. Through this program, the IPG, Inc. encourages grooming students to join IPG at a reduced membership fee and begin their certification within 6 months of beginning school.

 

The IPG’ Inc. Student Certification Program of IPG certification is open to all grooming schools who register with us. Their students may who become IPG members within 6 months of beginning their school or courses, may take the Salon Details testing before leaving school. Each student must also purchase the IPG Guidelines.

Students passing these tests will receive a certificate and will hopefully want tocontinue their grooming education and work towards more certification. In the Salon Details test, the student will demonstrate bathing, drying, and brush-out skills on any coated breed. They will be asked to demonstrate the use of forced air dryer, fluff dryer, various brushes and combs, nail clippers, etc. Examiner will be watching for safe and gentle handling of the dog, correct use of grooming tools and a nicely finished dog ready to go home or to be groomed.
